Brand Street Agency and fashion sock company, Dead Soxy, are excited to announce the winner of the 2018 Best Buddies Contest! Congratulations to Alex C., a 17 year- old Best Buddies Ambassador, from Wylie, Texas, entry was the inspiration for the design. Our socks have feet. Feet for the journey. The journey of a lifetime. To go places.… Places where we live and play. Places where we work and learn. Places where we discover new horizons. Places where there is faith, hope and love. Places where we have never journeyed before. And places where we can find our best buddy.

Alex enjoys reading and learning with a passion for science and nature. He became an Eagle Scout at the age of 14 and attends Wylie High School where he is an active member of the golf team. Alex is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, a condition that causes much of the world to view him as “different.” “Alex is a loving family member. His life is different. It’s like a roller coaster; up and down, twists and turns, scary and amazing, and we wouldn’t want him any other way,” says his mother, Cindy. Alex is a Best Buddies Ambassador and is an advocate for inclusion, helping promote acceptance and understanding of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We are honored to feature Alex’s design as winner of the 2018 Best Buddies contest.
